Even though the event was not heard on ABVM property, the parish community(& community in general) found their way down RT 41 to St Gabriel's Parish Center to assist with this year's Program. The amount of volunteers that stepped forward was overwhelming with a committee that led the way to adapt to these trying times. We were able to give 395 families in need a better Christmas Season!
Please note that we are able at this time to keep the parish office open only from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. You may contact the Pastor or Staff by email or leave a message in their voicemail by calling 610-869-2722. This year's program will be held at St Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Parish Center on Rt 41 on December 12. We are grateful to the parish for allowing us to use their facility due to the expanded use of our Parish Center for school classrooms. We also anticipate a reduction in the amount of non-perishables that will be donated due to the absence of students attending the Avon Grove Schools which have had a very fruitful food drive every year. Attached is a copy of our community support letter that outlines the program in a little more detail, We ask for your time, talent and treasure during the Blessed Holiday Season!!!
We will have a socially distanced meeting in the PLC of the Lower Level of Church. If you are unable to attend and would like to contribute, please email JJBrennan@assumptionbvmwestgrove.org for information about joining the meeting through the internet. Due to social distancing, our parish center has been converted into classrooms; we are grateful to St Gabriel's for allowing us to use their Parish Center. This is just one of the many changes and challenges that face us this year. We will need additional volunteers to make the program a success this year. Many hands make light work!!!!

Local action is urgently needed in support of busing for Catholic and Private Schools in the State of Pennsylvania. A handful of school districts refuse to commit to providing busing services to our students, despite our reminders that our families pay taxes. Locally, we need your help in reaching out to the school officials in the Avon Grove school district. Our district have not yet committed to busing services. We have provided as much contact information as was readily available. We ask our parishioners to contact school officials to urge them to fulfill their duty to provide student busing for all students. Thank you!!!!
