Happy Feast Day, Assumption BVM Parishioners!

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a Holy Day of Obligation. However, when it falls on a Saturday or a Monday, the obligation to attend Mass is abrogated. For instance, the Feast of the Assumption fell on Saturday in 2009 and Monday in 2011 and 2016; in each of these cases, Catholics in the United States were not required to attend Mass.

Although not an Obligation, parishioners are encouraged to attend mass.  ABVM will celebrate Mass at 6:30 and 9:00 in the morning.     (Please Note: ABVM Parish Office will be closed on August 15th.)
