POSITION DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Maintenance Supervisor
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
HOURS: Full time (40 hours per week)
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Provide and coordinate maintenance of parish facilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Oversee general and capital needs of parish buildings, systems and grounds including identifying and setting priorities to maintain acceptable standards of maintenance.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as, changing lightbulbs/fixtures, painting, equipment repairs, plumbing repairs.
- Maintain safety systems including, but not limited to, fire extinguisher inspections, emergency lighting and security system.
- Manage computerized HVAC systems.
- Oversee contracted cleaning company including communication with the company regarding schedules and special needs.
- Maintain adequate inventory of tools and supplies.
- Perform and document monthly inspections of interiors and exterior conditions of campus.
- Correct deficiencies noted during inspections.
- Compile and supervise tasks and schedule of summer/holiday work crew.
- Obtains information, bids/proposals from vendors, as needed.
- Interacts with staff, finance committee and volunteers.

- Able to prioritize completion of position’s responsibilities, adhere to schedules and deadlines.
- Able to compile and maintain reports and records
- Able to communicate effectively in English (orally and in writing)
- Able to troubleshoot commercial HVAC and phone systems
- 3+ years of hands on facilities maintenance experience
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Hours – 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday
- Occasional evening/weekend hours
- Majority of time spent walking and standing
- Physically able to climb ladders, inspect roofs, clean gutters
- Physically able to lift at least 40 pounds
