MEMORIAL GIFTS COMMITTEE UPDATE

A brochure describing this opportunity is available on the information shelves in the back of the Church. Additional sacramental items such as dalmatics (the chasuble worn by the Deacon at Mass), pyxes, ciboria, chalices and other sacred vessels are also possible items. The Committee is working with Father Scott to determine additional sacramentals and sacred vessels to memorialize. Also, discussion about a permanent video presentation in the narthex has been initiated. This audio visual would inform the Parish about a spectrum of ideas. The Committee has been developing a memorial gift card and envelope to facilitate donating to honor a loved one. Finally, the Committee is assisting the Consolation Ministry team in updating its brochure and incorporating the Memorial Gifts opportunity. Long term, the Committee is planning to assist the Works of Mercy group in planning the November 2017 annual Memorial Mass.
