The truth is that the Advisory Council for Catholic Elementary Education in Chester County, with the cooperation of ABVM and Sacred Heart Parishes, has hired Bloom Planning Company to help its Southern Chester County Steering Committee to devise a plan that will aim at improving and making more financially accessible Catholic elementary education in this part of the Archdiocese. This Strategic initiative will involve the pastors of the parishes of Southern Chester County, the principals of the two parochial schools, members of the School Advisory Boards, local business persons, parents of children in both schools, and other stakeholders. There are many factors which will be taken into consideration in putting the plan together, and I believe that the end product will provide a positive vision for the future. PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR FIRST MEETING OF THE STEERING COMMITTEE WITH BLOOM IS THIS THURSDAY. That should tell you that anyone who claims to know what the final plan will recommend is blowing wind. I don't know what it will recommend. The Chester County School Advisory Council is not spending a lot of money on this strategic analysis for the sake of a preconceived outcome. SO ANY RUMORS ABOUT ANY DECISIONS HAVING BEEN MADE ABOUT THE FUTURE OF EITHER PAROCHIAL SCHOOL IN SOUTHERN CHESTER COUNTY IS NOTHING MORE THAN POPYCOCK! More information will be forthcoming as we get into the planning stages.
