Parishioners, please contract us if you or a neighbor is in need of assistance during this Extraordinary time in our lives. Perhaps a member of the Knights of Columbus or the Women's Auxiliary can help in some way. Send me a note and I will see what can be done to "Lend a Hand". [email protected]
Please watch Father Scott's reflection. Also, "tune in" on Sunday, April 20 @ 3pm to view the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Benediction: https://www.facebook.com/ABVMWG/live/
This annual Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Pérez. In this Mass he will lead his priests in renewing their vows from their homes and will bless the sacred oils which will be distributed at a later date. Follow Mass at CatholicPhilly.com, ArchPhila.org or on the Archbishop's Facebook page.
Palm was left over and can be picked up outside of church today. Whatever is left will be in the Narthex of the church. It was good to see the turnout today of people visiting and picking up palm. It was good to say "hi." Thank you also for your Sunday offerings. May everyone have a safe and blessed Holy Week!
Father Scott posted a greeting to parishioners for Palm. Stay close, parishioners of ABVM, as we travel this hard journey. We will be together again in our church.
Father Scott will bless the palm in a private Mass on Sunday morning. After Mass the palm will be placed on tables outside of the church for parishioners to pick up. Take a moment to visit our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament and take a baggie with you. Please only touch the baggie you take. The palm will be available and the church will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the Name of the Lord!
Thank you once again for your help!!! We had 52 donors come out to donate and collected 44 donations which will go on to help 132 local area hospital patients!!!
Dear Parishioners, The image of Pope Francis sitting alone last week in a normally bustling St. Peter’s Square to offer a prayer, encouragement and blessing to the world was startling. The scene pierced my heart because it symbolizes the reality for all the churches. They are empty. Unfortunately, out of love and concern for one another we cannot gather together for public worship until the pandemic passes. Please read below for the full letter
