The Church celebrates the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord in the Temple. It is also called Candlemas (40 days after Christmas). Mass will be offered at 8:15 a.m. and candles will be blessed on this day to commemorate Christ being presented in the Temple as the Light of the World.

The Parish is looking for new fundraising events that would interest Assumption BVM parishioners and the surrounding community. We have a few ideas but we would really like to hear from you. Surveys are available on the table in the narthex. Please return your completed survey in the collection basket or in the box in the narthex next weekend. The men of our parish are invited to join Catholic Men from throughout the Archdiocese for the 16th Annual Man Up Philly Men’s Conference on March 2nd at Cardinal O’Hara HS. Speakers include Phillies Hall of Famer, Mike Schmidt, acclaimed author of Back to Life, Danny Bader, That Man is You VP, Mark Hartfiel, and Coordinator of Young Life, Deacon Nathan Gunn. And back by popular demand, Mark Forrest, internationally recognized Irish tenor, who will lead our Eucharistic Adoration. Please click on the tile for more information.
